Who are we?

Taxi H.C.T. is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this privacy statement. We handle your data with care and comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data do we process?

Depending on how you contact us, we process the following data:

• Name, phone number and email address.
• Pick-up and destination address, date and time of the trip, number of passengers and luggage.
• Flight number and arrival time for airport trips.
• Comments and messages you send us via the contact form, email, phone or WhatsApp.
• Company and invoice details of business customers.
• Payment details, such as the payment status. Online payments are handled by a payment provider; we do not receive full card details.
• Data on website use (only with your consent) and technical data such as your IP address for security.

Why do we process your data?

• To plan and carry out your trip and to contact you about it (performance of the contract).
• To answer your questions and prepare a quote (performance of the contract or your request).
• To handle payments and to prepare and keep invoices (legal obligation).
• To ask you to write a review after the trip (legitimate interest; you can always object to this).
• To improve the website using statistics (only with your consent).
• To protect the website against abuse, spam and fraud (legitimate interest).

School transport

For school transport we receive the necessary details of the pupil (such as name, address and school times) from the parents, the school or the client. We only use this data to carry out the transport safely and only share it with the drivers who do the trip.

How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your data longer than necessary. Trip and invoice data are kept for 7 years, because the law (tax retention obligation) requires this. Messages and quotes that do not lead to a trip are deleted no later than 12 months after they are handled.

Who do we share your data with?

We never sell your data. We only share data with parties needed for our service, such as our payment provider, the party hosting our website and email, Google (route calculation and, with consent, Google Analytics) and our accountant. Agreements have been made with these parties about protecting your data. We may also provide data if the law requires us to.

Some service providers, such as Google, may process data outside the European Union. This only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data, such as a secure (SSL) connection, secured systems and restricted access to data.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data. You can also object to the use of your data, restrict processing, have your data transferred and withdraw consent you have given. Send your request to info@taxihct.nl. We will respond within one month.

Not satisfied with how we handle your data? Let us know. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
